How Fried Palms Are Prepared?
Has it ever happened to you that you want to give your little ones something more homemade but you don’t have many hours available to prepare it?
If you have a visit at home and would like to serve at the table a companion for coffee or tea, that is made by your own hands, fried palms are the perfect solution.
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 75 grams of sugar
- 1 egg
Utensils:

Preparation:
- Clean the countertop where you’ll work your palms. Throw in a sugar base and place the pastry leaf so it gets immersed. Spread more sugar on top of the dough and crush with a spoon or fingers. This way they’ll look good. And crisp.
- Fold the puff pastry by lifting one of the short sides and taking it to the middle. Repeat the procedure again but from the other side also arriving at the center. Do the same with the other two sides of the dough. You’ll look like an envelope.
- Put the folds on top of the previous ones as if it were a book. Cut in a circle about 2 cm thick.
- Turn on the oven and place the pastry palms on a tray with baking paper. They must be as separate as possible because during cooking they spread quite a bit. Put in the oven at about 200 degrees Celsius, for about 15 minutes.
- When golden, remove from the oven and let them cool on the countertop before serving. You can sprinkle with more sugar if you want.

Recipe of Fried Palms… With Homemade Dough

Ingredients:
- 250 g self-rising flour
- 250 g of common flour
- 100g butter
- 1 pinch of salt
- The zest of 1 lemon
- Milk (the required amount)
- Sugar (quantity required)
- Oil for frying (the required quantity)
Utensils:
- Sifter
- Knife
- Container
- Roller
- Grator
- Frying Pan
- Tray
Preparation:
- Size the flour with the salt. Add the butter in buckets and process everything so you can have a sandy paste left. Take the milk and bat until you form a dough.
- Work the dough on the table to get such consistency that you can stretch smoothly. It forms a bun and wraps with film paper, leave it for ½ hour.
- Stretch the dough after that time. You have to look fine. Sprinkle with sugar and distribute the lemon zest.
- Mark half of the dough and roll the edges to the center. Mount one roll over the other and adjust well with your hands. With a cut knife 1 cm thick.
- In a pan, put plenty of oil and heat up. Fry the palms until brown on both sides. Remove excess oil with kitchen paper.
