Today we have become accustomed to living in the immediacy of the moment and to being on most of the time in autopilot, it is for this reason that kindness on many occasions goes unnoticed, and, although in all organizations they talk about being kind, there are data that show that kindness turns out to be practiced by few of them.
What do you mean when we talk about kindness?
It is a virtue that provides, improves, and/or promotes interpersonal relations, and although being kind this good is not a guarantee of much since, on some occasions, it becomes recently present in everyday life, what does guarantee is that when it manifests itself, the situations within the organization become more comfortable and enjoyable, managing to exalt it when we are interested in the well-being of the people around us.
We always wish to be treated cordially, with courtesy and benevolence, but on many occasions, we forget to do so with ourselves, and therefore at times we may find it difficult to do so with the other.
For this reason, watch you talk to yourself. We cannot expect kind treatment from others when it is not the one we give ourselves, and that is why the first step to being kind at work is to start being pleasant with yourself, as much as possible and according to the context in which you are developing, practicing it through the self-knowledge of your strengths and opportunities within the work environment
Why is kindness so important?
The working environment needs mentally healthy people and in harmony with itself/so that the climate that develops within the organization can be more effective and productive. A pleasant working environment guarantees a greater production and effectiveness of its human staff, which is why gentleness (among other variables) in the work is directly involved in the triumph within the organization.
To be kind is to be respected or, cordial, attentive, educated, and collaborator with the other. But how do I carry out kindness within the working environment? To improve these skills, it is important that you take into account the following considerations:
– Recognize your skills, give courage to your work, and take charge of your work professionally and if you have time, you can carry out other activities that are not under your responsibility.
– Watch around you and try to look at how good your teammates are. Thank you for the efforts made without taking into account the magnitude of it.
– Don’t execute signals against your co-worker, acquire a real and spontaneous interest in what exposes you, use good listening rules, and try to place yourself in the other’s place.
– Use discretion as a good ally and avoid engaging you in any way that a badly sound comment is presented.
– Ask your classmates how they’re doing in their lives outside the work environment. If you have it, take the time to interact with the other, avoiding being indiscreet and inadequate. If anyone does not want to talk, do not ask him to say anymore.
It should be noted that to develop kindness within the organization it is important that business leaders take into account the positive reinforcement of each of the employees, knowing what people within the organization need and require to improve the effectiveness of work, together with this, to develop activities where teamwork is the main tool for passive communication and where the creative thinking of each of the people involved is revealed, to generate growth and innovation for the organization.
