In Vidae we have talked many times about the superpowers of aloe vera for beauty and its different uses in cosmetics and the health of the skin. Aloe vera’s pure gel is undoubtedly the star raw material, but what ingredients can it be combined with to further enhance its effects? Juan Chico, pharmacist and co-founder of the company ATLANTIA, tells us about it.
Rosehip oil
Rosehip oil is perfect when looking for a synergy that enhances the effect of Aloe. “Aloe is well known for its high regenerative capacity. The same goes for rosehip, which also has great regenerative and moisturizing activity and is widely used in the treatment of scars and stretch marks. Rosehip gives the cream emollience and gives it a better and more active texture because it is a product rich in essential fatty acids.”
Shea butter
Coming from nuts from the shea tree in West Africa, it has a great power of hydration and nutrition. If we add the regenerating and moisturizing capacity of the Aloe, thanks to its amino acids, with the power of hydration and nutrition of the sheath butter, we will manage to repair the skin and give it much more elasticity, apart from favoring regeneration, because shea butter also has vitamin F.
Avocado oil
It is a product rich in essential fatty acids. They are called essential when the organism cannot synthesize them and that makes an external contribution necessary, which can be both oral and topical. Aloe vera regenerates and moisturizes in depth, but lacks emolience to bring softness and elasticity to the skin, and this is achieved by adding avocado oil. The combination of its effects is perfect for atopic and sensitive skin.
Arnica
For thousands of years, arnica has been used for problems such as bruises, and muscle and rheumatic pain. Its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, combined with the Aloe vera, are perfect as it can act on tired legs and is suitable for muscle fatigue, or after effort in sport, work, or injuries.
In reality, the juice of the Aloe, with its numerous properties and high concentration, can be combined with any asset, as long as technical premises are met that allow the formulation to be stable and cosmetologically pleasant.
