Postpartum is one of the most complicated stages of the entire pregnancy process. One of the main characteristics of the postpartum period is, on an emotional level, as the body changes, also at the hormonal level, as a physiologist.
Elena Pajuelo, midwife and motherhood educator and author of “Everything Nobody Has Told You About Postpartum” (Zenith), recommends performing hypopressive exercises after birth, although she points out that the woman’s physical condition should be analyzed first.
Pajuelo lists five more tricks to make the women who have just given birth feel better:
1. Take some time for yourself every day, take a good shower, get ready, and look good, because in the first few days after giving birth, you don’t recognize yourself, and it’s very important to look at yourself again and feel good again.
2. Surround yourself with people who contribute, who are helpful, who help you, and who make you feel good, who make you laugh—your partner, your friends, other mothers in the same situation. Find that tribe to lean on because life is better when you’re together.
3. Take care of your diet. Eating a variety of foods is one of the best tips for getting your figure back before pregnancy.
4. Ask for help. Sometimes we think we can do it alone, and we’re not superwomen. We must ask for all the necessary help, especially in the first weeks, and dedicate ourselves to the important, to recover physically and to be with the baby, and for everything else, to ask for help.
5.- Exercise. It is always good to exercise our bodies with a good sports session.
