Exercises to prevent headaches associated with eye strain

We start with a very simple exercise to do, and it is recommended to perform when you take 3 or 4 hours in front of the computer. With this exercise, you will manage to relax your eyes and reduce the pressure build-up in the area. To do so, only follow these steps:

1. Stay in a sitting position and now cover your eyes with your hands.

2. Make sure the palms are slightly cupped to avoid putting pressure on the eyeball.

3. You’ll have to put your fingers on your forehead so that relaxation also gets to the head area, and you feel better.

4. In this position, close your eyes and take ten deep breaths.

It is recommended that you do this exercise halfway through your workday and also at the end of the day. It will help you relax the area and reduce pressure.

Move your eyes

Another exercise to prevent headaches from eye strain is the one we recommend below. It involves moving your eyes so you stop staring at the screen and can perceive other light, other images, and other stimuli. To do this, simply follow these steps:

1. Stand in the chair and keep your eyes straight in front.

2. Now, without moving your head, look as far as you can. Make sure your head is always straight, and just move your eyes.

3. Hold on for five seconds.

4. Then move your eyes up by reaching the maximum point you can.

5. Hold this exercise for 5 seconds.

6. Then close your eyes and take three deep breaths.

For maximum relaxation of the area, it is best that you repeat this exercise 3 to 5 times.

Focus your gaze

1. In the sitting position, cover one eye.

2. With your eyes open, try to look as far away as you can. The goal is for you to try to focus on the distance.

3. Hold on for 1 minute and then change your eye.
